Lumbamed® disc was developed especially for use in the event of an intervertebral disc herniation (prolapsed intervertebral disc) or protrusion of an intervertebral disc.The lumbar support with mobilisation function provides for compression of the abdomen with the aid of the bridging pad and tension straps. Lordosis in the lumbar spine is corrected via compression of the abdomen and integrated support elements. The special knit and fastener shapes guarantee a correct, non-slip fit. As treatment progresses, the pad with bridging effect incl. removable tension straps can be removed and replaced with back rods with interchangeable hardness. A step-by-step promotion of mobilisation is achieved with the aid of the tension straps.

Lumbamed® disc is used by all indications requiring partial relief by reduction of lordosis of the lumbar spine with subsequent functional mobilisation of the lumbar spine such as:

• Intervertebral disc protrusion or disc prolaps (Nonsurgical, postoperative)
• Pseudo-radicular pain syndrome
• Postural muscle imbalance in the lumbar spine
• Moderate lower back pain (lubago)
• Moderate lower back pain with sciatica

Diamond-shaped function zone in the back area ensures increased breathability via large aire holes. Lumbamed® disc is particularly simple to apply thanks to bilateral hand loops. Can be adapted in three stages to suit the treatment. Integrated tension straps for smooth and individually regulated pressure. The anatomical cut-out in sensitive bending area for a high level of comfort. Fastening edges fold down to ensure a high level of comfort during movement and while seated. Fastening is soft on inner side: Pleasant to wear, especially when the brace is worn directly on the skin. Soft on the skin and fast moisture wicking thanks to a special hybrid fabric created from high-tech fibre and natural eucalyptus fibre.
